A 125/80R18 spare size is within the accepted tolerance range for temporary use with all OEM tire diameters for this Kia generation.

The overall tire height (not the wheel size) is the consideration for the spare tire fitment. The 18" spare wheel is then chosen for proper fitment and not interfere with the brake or suspension system. This is regardless of the OEM wheel option that came on the vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions

There two year range choices for my Optima, which one do I choose? The generations cross-over in 2006 and the earlier version uses a 4-lug bolt pattern while the newer one uses a 5. You'll need to select the correct generation for your vehicle.

There are some different looking Optima models in these years, does this spare fit mine? Yes. The 2009 facelift changed styling, not specifications, so spare selection is unaffected. Match the Optima and this is the correct spare.

Note: This compact spare tire is intended only to be used temporarily in the event of a flat tire. This spare permits drivers to continue their travels to their destination or to a service provider to repair or replace the vehicle’s damaged tire.
