Mercury Comet Spare Tire Sizes

The Mercury Comet has used a 4x108mm (4 x 4.25") bolt pattern for all models from 1976 to 1977 along with a tire diameter of 24.9" tall. Using a temporary spare tire with a diameter close to the standard tire has many benefits, especially for modern vehicle applications. Tire diameter as well as wheel diameter clearance have been taken into account for Mercury Comet spare tire selections. In this case, a 125/80R17 temporary spare tire is the recommendation for all applications.
